You Want Change

You’re here because you’ve decided that something in your grief needs to change, and you’re ready to make that happen.

Well, friend, you’re in the right place.

Does this sound like your grief—lots of feelings, intense feelings, or maybe just numb? The same thoughts keep looping through your head, no matter what you do. You feel alone, misunderstood and tired in a way you can’t quite explain. Maybe you’ve been taking care of everyone else, or maybe you just don’t know how to fully care for yourself. Maybe you’ve thought about grief coaching before but didn’t know where to begin.

The Kind of Support You Want

You don’t want grief coaching that feels impersonal or just checks the boxes. You want someone who takes the time to understand you, your grief, your life and what you need.

You want support that feels personal, compassionate and genuinely helpful.

That’s the kind of grief coaching I offer.

My Mission

My mission is simple: I want to support you. To be your companion in grief, there for you.

I want to help lift some of the darkness of grief from your life and help you find more hope, balance and peace. I want you to feel more confident in your ability to cope with a life that will always hold both grief and love.

My Approach to Grief Coaching

I provide online grief coaching, and I will meet you wherever you are in your grief.

I want our sessions to feel like your sanctuary in grief—a place where you can feel honestly and talk about even the most vulnerable parts of your grief. I won’t judge you. I won’t rush you. And I won’t fill our conversations with grief jargon or psychobabble.

No feeling you bring to me is wrong. You don’t have to worry about whether what you’re thinking, feeling or doing is “normal.” You are doing grief as you need to.

My approach is holistic and you-centred. I don’t focus on just one part of your grief because grief doesn’t affect just one part of you. We can look at your thoughts, feelings, behaviours, your body, your relationships and your everyday life. Then we can widen the lens and look at what’s happening around you—your support system, what you’re getting from the people in your life, what you’re not getting, what’s changing, and anything else that is affecting your grief.

If it matters to you, then it matters in our work together.

I am a Certified Thanatologist, Grief Educator and Grief Coach, and I support many different kinds of grief and loss. That includes the death of a parent, child, sibling, family member, spouse or partner, close friend, someone you had a difficult or estranged relationship with, or a beloved pet. I also support pregnancy loss and infertility, people grieving after caring for someone who has died, and people experiencing the grief that can come with a chronic, critical or terminal illness.

My Philosophy

I believe good grief coaching needs to be flexible, personal and built around you.

I combine my grief education, knowledge of grief theories, coaching approaches and lived experience to give you support that fits you rather than expecting you to fit into a particular way of grieving.

I created the kind of grief coaching I needed after my dad died. I needed someone who understood grief, but I also needed someone who would listen to me with compassion and acceptance. Someone who wouldn’t rush me or try to fix me. Someone who could help me understand what was happening to me, give me ways to cope, and help me learn how to live forward while continuing to love and stay connected to Dad.

That’s what I want to give you.

I believe grief support is both an art and a science. There is knowledge, education and expertise behind what I do, but there is also a human being sitting in front of me whose grief is entirely their own. Both matter.

Because ultimately, I want what you want: for grief to take up a little less space, for life to have more balance, for your connection with your loved one to remain part of your life, and for you to be able to look toward tomorrow with hope again.

What This Means for You

You don’t have to fit into a particular kind of grief or grieve in a particular way to work with me.

We start with you.

Where you are. What you’re struggling with. What you need. What you want to change. And what would make living with your grief feel a little easier.

Then we build your grief coaching around that.

When you feel ready, I’m here.
