FAQ

I offer four grief coaching options:

  • Single Session — $80 + HST
  • 3-Session Package — $280 + HST
  • 6-Session Package — $800 + HST
  • 8-Session Package — $1,500 + HST

I also offer a free 45-minute discovery call.

Then you can optionally add one sentence: “Full details about what is included in each option are available on my Grief Coaching Services page.”

I offer my services to adult men and women over 18 who are experiencing bereavement and grief. My clients include individuals in their 60s and 70s as well.

Losses include the death of a loved one, a person, or a pet, as well as reproductive loss, infertility, and traumatic loss. I also work with clients who are caregivers to a terminally ill loved one or family member, and others who are newly diagnosed with a chronic illness, whether terminal or severe.

I believe in active inclusivity and meeting my clients where they are in their grief.

I never rush anyone’s learning and healing or use a ‘one size fits all’ approach or talk in confusing grief jargon or psychobabble.

I use an integrative and holistic approach that combines Person-Centred Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, insight, empathy and education.

Yes. Since my sessions are virtual, I work with clients in Toronto, Ontario and across Canada.

No, virtually through Zoom. My clients have embraced online therapy for its convenience and accessibility, so I have no plans to return to in-person counselling at the office for now.

You’re welcome to schedule a free 15-minute discovery call by emailing me at jennifer@yoursanctuaryingrief.com, and I will get back to you within 24 hours.

Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.

You can book with me as often as you need to.

Because I understand that grief is ongoing, I want to be available to you whenever you need me. So you can book a support session, and also reach out between sessions whenever you’re feeling stressed or overwhelmed or just need to talk. Please send me an email or text, and I will respond as soon as possible to talk or set up a session.

We will connect through Zoom to make it easy and convenient for you. Reach out to schedule your appointment, and several days before our 1:1 session, I will send you a Zoom link. A gentle reminder is to think of our Zoom meeting exactly like visiting my office in person—make sure you’re in a peaceful, private space where you can relax and speak freely.

Yes. Here are some benefits:

The privacy and safety of our clients is of top priority. And that is why therapists and counsellors conducting Zoom sessions adhere to the same strict privacy and safety protocols as they do for in-person visits, ensuring you feel secure and cared for.

Online Therapy Can Be as Effective as In-Person: Research shows that online therapy can be just as effective for people dealing with bereavement and grief as in-person therapy.

More time… Less travel: Now you have the time! In today’s busy world, fitting in an appointment can be tough, with travel time and work/life demands often adding to the stress of scheduling and then travelling to and from the appointment.

Online counselling removes all the worry and mental gymnastics —it’s all about convenience. You can easily ‘log in’ to your session from anywhere, even if you’re on the go. This flexibility makes it easier to prioritize your well-being without the extra hassle.

Comfort: Sharing your thoughts, feelings, and emotions can sometimes be challenging. When you add the experience of meeting your counsellor/ therapist in an office, it might feel even more uncomfortable. That’s where online counselling comes in—it offers you the flexibility to choose a location where you feel most at ease. This way, you can genuinely feel comfortable and safe when sharing.

Online counselling can help ease any worries about attending therapy sessions, like feeling uncomfortable in waiting rooms or fearing you might see someone you know. It makes it more comfortable to get the support you want, more comfortable and accessible.
